H.R. 2 signed into law

President Obama signed H.R. 2, the “Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015.” This legislation takes an important first step to bring stability to the Medicare program by eliminating the SGR formula. The AMA will remain vigilant in working to ensure that implementation bolsters the sustainability of physician practices and empowers physicians to provide the best possible care for patients.

Thank you for all your efforts to help make SGR repeal a reality. Our united voice is powerful indeed. We celebrate this achievement for all Medicare and TRICARE patients.
