My husband was made eligble for Medicare when he was awarded his SSA-Disability. He is only 46. We are finding it hard to distinguish what Medicare does and does not pay for. Even with state Medicaid as a secondary insurance not everything is covered. We live in the state of West Virginia and it is hard to find doctors that are willing to go through the hassle of finding the right diagnosis so that Medicare will pay for the test that they have ordered. Cutting costs back now will only make for a situation that is bad just get worse.
West Virginia Testimonials
We in West Virginia who rely on Medicare and Medicaid already suffer from a limited number of competent medical specialists. Cuts in reimbursement to these few doctors presently available will impact us severely.
It's already difficult finding a doctor to accept new patients...lower pay to doctors will only make things worse. Do not reduce payments to them and cause Medicare folks to lose their access to healthcare.
